So I present to you a car that is the car spirit of Kinja. A Versa because it can’t please anybody no matter what.

I was actually looking at one for a first car. Cheapest new car for a while meant I could potentially find a fairly new car (even a manual wagon) for a very used price.

Those are doing a good job in Mexico DF replacing the old Tsuru as taxis. The Nissan Tida as well. They are little champs

I think very many people are satisfied with their Versa because it is cheap as hell.

It’s decent once you get up to the SL trim with a surprising amount of features. The base model though is if you don’t want to look at used cars.

They’re ok cars. Nothing memorable about them. If you have the time to look for used cars, that’d be a better choice.

If you have good credit and a long loan they are extremely cheap to keep.

I mean, I ended up with an ‘88 Mustang convertible. Least reliable car ever, but definitely a thrill to own.

I rented one of those once. It worked. Not a whole lot more i can write about it.

And plus even though the build quality isn’t good (trust me), the mechanicals are extremely reliable.

You know that Yaris campaign awhile back? The Versa is like that.
“Versa. It’s a CAR!”

I heard it described as this generation’s Yugo, only thing one is more likely to run.

I bet it still runs and drives fine.

I remember I sold one while working at Carmax when it was dark outside. The entire time we (me and the customers) thought it was black until they took delivery of it - as it turns out it was like an espresso color.
Luckily the customers were fine with it (aka they didn’t care).
